Through the stories of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples and the children who never returned home from residential schools, we are able to gain a deeper understanding of the violence, loss, and systemic injustices experienced by Indigenous communities.

For generations, many Canadians have lived without fully understanding the history and legacy of residential schools, the historical and ongoing impacts of the Indian Act, the significance of treaties, or the many contributions Indigenous Peoples have made, and continue to make, to Canada.
