Story of Delores Whiteman

It’s not exactly clear when Delores Whiteman went missing.

Whiteman was born in 1946 and after attending residential school in the 1960s, she ended up in Regina, Saskatchewan, where she had a daughter.

When her daughter was taken away, Delores drifted. Lori Whiteman started searching for her mother in the 1980s and fought to have her mother recognized as a missing person’s case.

Delores’s case is currently a missing person file under Project KARE in Edmonton, Alberta.
