Story of Bonnie Jack

Bonnie Lynn Jack, also known as Bonnie Lynn Loyie, grew up in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. She lived on the streets of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for more than two decades before moving to Edmonton, Alberta.

But several years after moving there, the 37-year-old’s body was discovered in a rural area just east of Edmonton in May 2006. Foul play is suspected.

The KARE unit, an RCMP entity that investigates and reviews files of murdered or missing vulnerable persons throughout Alberta, is handling the case.
