Amanda Cook went missing from the Harvest Fair Festival in Rossburn, Man., on July 13, 1996.
The 14 year old girl had gone to the fair with her dad and brother from the Waywayseecappo First Nation just outside Rossburn. She was found dead four days later on July 17, and an autopsy determined she had been beaten to death. Clayton George Mentuck was later charged in her death and tried three times.
Ultimately, he was found not guilty of second degree murder.
