Juanita Cardinal, 27, was fatally stabbed in Edmonton on Feb. 26, 2006, by a friend after a night of drinking.
Edmonton police declared her death a homicide but no charges were laid, as they determined it was self-defense on the part of the person who killed her. Her sister wants a trial and disputes the police’s conclusion about her sister’s case.
