Cheryl Johnson, 23, was found drowned in Sydney Harbour in May 2001 after a night out at the bar with her friends.
She was from Eskasoni First Nation in Nova Scotia. Local police closed the investigation after two days, when they determined no foul play was involved in Cheryl’s death.
Her grandmother spoke to the media at the time, saying the case was closed too quickly. Cheryl’s sisters still maintain that someone was involved in her death.
